Everything on www.livelifelekker.com is done with the perspective and style of coaching, specifically Meta-Coaching.
What is Meta-Coaching?, you may ask.
Before I explain what Meta-Coaching is, or rather first of all coaching, I would like to tell you what coaching is NOT.
Coaching is not mentoring. These two terms are confused a lot. Mentoring happens typically in a work context where a senior employee mentors a junior employee – give advice on how things are done; basically showing the ropes.
Coaching is not counselling. Counselling or therapy works on past issues or trauma related problems. Counselling and therapy fix what is wrong.
Coaching is not training. To train is to teach and happens when there is a skills transfer.
Coaching is not consulting. Consulting is when an expert uses their knowledge and gives advice on what needs to be done to fix a problem.
Coaching is a collaborative relationship between the coach and coachee. Coaching is for mentally healthy people who want more from life, who want to be more. Although a coach may step into the role of a mentor, therapist, trainer or consultant at times, the role of the coach is that of facilitator.
How is Meta-Coaching different?
Meta-Coaching works from a meta position, that means above. Meta-Coaching works about the content of the coachee's challenge and works with the process and structure of the challenge as presented by the coachee through verbal and non-verbal language.
Meta-Coaching stems from NLP and Neuro-Semantics www.neurosemantics.com . As Meta-Coaches, we believe the person is never the problem – the frame is the problem. This means that the way we store and frame information, influences our thoughts, words, behaviour – either limiting or empowering us.
In Meta-Coaching we have a holistic approach and works with the mind, body, emotion system. It is through our systemic models, working with process and structure instead of content, that gives meta-coaches the ability to know what to do where, when and why. Meta-Coaching has seven powerful models, based on cognitive-behavioural and self-actualization phychology, to name a few. We are bound by the ethics and constitution of the Meta-Coach Foundation www.metacoachfoundation.org and are committed to continuous development of our skills.
As Meta-Coaches, we designed every facet of the private personal development space on www.livelifelekker.com with this holistic and systemic approach. Our intention is to make online coaching accessible in the best possible way, assisting you to self-actualize and make your highest dreams come true.
